It felt like overkill.
I am unfortunately not the kind of person who forgets emails. I am a kind of follow througher.. so I tend to think others will respond in the same way.
I am not great at knowing if I have to ask. demand rerequest over and over again to get a once advertised result. It seemed a good thing. i asked right away when it went up. i never got anything.
It is simple.
I have a right to voice my frustration. -

Thu, May 28, 2009 - 7:39 AMThe fallicy in your argument is that you're assuming she just forgot your email. There's no way for you to know that, especially without asking her. Tribe could have very well eaten it on one of its buggy days. You never know...
And while, yes, you do have a right to voice your frustration - that's not what you did, IMO. You said that her not responding to your email made her "ethics and credibilty become questionable". That's an entirely different & more harsh thing that just venting a frustration. -

Wed, May 27, 2009 - 6:28 AMWhile I agree that the thread should be deleted -- because it's spam by being a Topic & not a Listing, as it should have been -- however, I don't agree that her credibility should be questioned due to one email being lost or unreturned. As we all know, Tribe can be wonky at BEST. I have lost an email or two myself on here. Nevermind the fact that she probably gets SEVERAL emails from promotions like these -- afterall, everyone wants something when it's free.
I would recommend trying to resolve this off-thread with Ahna, and THEN if you don't feel that you get a satisfactory resolution after an attempt on your part, then it might need to be brought to public awareness. It's not fair, however, to call a vendor out on a public forum because one email went unnoticed.

Ahna's original post clearly states that samples would go to the next 7 inquiries. Cathyq, perhaps you did not get your email in before 7 others did. Or perhaps your email did in fact get lost in cyberspace. Welcome to the digital world. It happens. I don't think, imo, that a follow up email is overkill.
As evidenced by posts here, there *are* people getting samples/orders. If this was a matter of not receiving something that was *paid for*, I'm sure you would have no issue emailing a second time, or more. And keep in mind that we are talking about samples here, not an un-received paid order, the latter of which may cause some concern for a lack of ethics and credibility, though again not without at least one follow up correspondence.
I don't think there is any need for further discussion here, and if Ahna has fulfilled her last offer ( comfydiva.tribe.net/thread/d...5fcf88a30 ) then I am going to delete this thread. Ahna, please let me know, and feel free to start a new thread when/if you ever have another offer. -
