My current beau was in a car accident about a week ago, and he suffered a minor head wound, and he therefore had to cut all his hair so that it is now only about an inch in the longest places.
He so adored his hair that he's griping and moaning about his lost locks to no end. (His hair was between chin and shoulder length and he LOVED it, considered it his best feature). He's seriously pining over a lost lost love here and I can't get him to leave the house without a hoodie in this hot spring Cali weather!
He is thinking about taking pre-natal vitamins to try and promote fast hair growth, but I don't know if guys are really supposed to do that (even prissy ones like him) even though they are just vitamins.
I am thinking that he could be creative and work with what he has while it is growing, but truthfully I don't know about styling short hair myself.
Any divas familiar with short, cute, boy hair? Send links to cute style pictures if you have them!

Re: Styling short hair
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 12:06 PMSome of us prefer short hair! I know I do!
I'm a sucker for the "combed straight forward on top with the bangs flipped up" look. Don't know if your guy would be into that, but I think it's adorable.

Re: Styling short hair
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 1:26 PMI personally love the buzzed look that seems to be the rage nowadays. I've gotten my hubby to do it a couple of times, but his hair grows so fast that it doesn't really stay buzzed for too long. Embrace the buzz! It's cheap to maintain, too. My brother bought his own electric shaver/buzzer thing and just cuts his own hair in the back yard and it looks fine.

Re: Styling short hair
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 1:37 PMhave a stylist run the texturizing scissors or a texturizing razor thru the top to spike it. Play with some hair products like a paste or pomade. Sorta Ryan Seacrest/Philippe. It'll look good growing out as well. -

Re: Styling short hair
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 1:53 PMWell, I forgot to mention we're talking about a goth boy here! Going completely short and buzzed would definiately not suit him, or me! LOL. But we'll keep experimenting... -

Fri, May 9, 2008 - 6:12 PMGoth boy? Well, paint his head black and he'll be good :P
He could grow some areas longer and buzz it to do the "fish fin" look. Grow bangs out. -

Re: Styling short hair
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 2:09 PMyeah, a goth boy can rock some creative whiskers for sure. Tell him he's lucky he didn't loose his hair entirely for a year because of cancer and chemo, like me. I'm lucky I'm healthy and my hair grew back. Sheesh, I haven't let a scissor touch me since it was last buzzed in November...gues I better get a little trim.
