I have two eyeshadows that go really well together as far as their color goes, but one one is a powder shadow and the other a liquid shadow. I am having trouble getting them to play nice together, if I apply the powder first then the liquid just makes it clump and streak! Is there a specific way this is supposed to be handled/applied? Any suggestions?

Re: Powder and liquid eyeshadow together as a duo!
Tue, May 6, 2008 - 8:54 PMI use liquid concealer over my entire upper lid and under eye area(my one Mac indulgence). I apply powder eye shadow after, then a light dab with face powder to hold it all.
So liquid first. Dab on, cleanup with a Qtip, then use a sponge applicator for the powder.

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 9:02 AMYou could always turn the powder into a cream by combining it with a bit of liquid primer or something. It might work better that way...

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 1:31 PMLiquids tend to stay put when they dry, and powders set liquids & creams, helping them last longer. Use your liquid or cream shadow, then the powder over (or with) that. -
