There are so many eye creams out there targeted at reversing aging. Are there any that are good for preventing? I started using eye cream about 2 years ago (I'm now 26) and I still haven't settled on one I love. I like rich and creamy because that skin does flake a lot on me if I don't treat it kindly enough. I've tried ROC (didn't like the tube--its made of metal and got holes in it before I was even halfway through the tube), Loreal preventage (liked it ok, not sure what was in it though) and neutragena (a bit too thin for my liking).
I also have dark circles caused by blue veins, so anything with cooling/calming properties is nice too.

Sun, April 20, 2008 - 1:06 PMHave you tried any of the Clinique ones, Clinique's good for pretty much everything! I used one my mum gave me once, stung my eyes a bit but I think that was an 'old age' one. I've also got dark circles so I'd like to hear everyone else's suggestions. -

For dark circles, use concealer. Nothing prevents skin aging as much as a good sunscreen. -

Fri, April 25, 2008 - 8:48 PMI'm interested in hearing about the creams too, but here's whats helped me with my circles:
steep 2 green tea bags for a few minutes then strain and chill the bags in the freezer for a few minutes. also chill a damp wash cloth. Put them over your eyes for at least 5 minutes. I swear by this. My eyes look so bright after this. If i have time in the mornings, i just use 2 bags in my tea and throw them in the freezer while I shower. Then i take them out and use them as I described. -

Sat, April 26, 2008 - 5:59 AMolder women don't like giving out secrets to young women. its the law of the jungle.
I tried to ask this question I got little or no response.
also be sure to take many things hear with a grain of salt. they will insist on natural products, though they can be more irritating to the skin than synthetic. this place is good for product reviews but when it comes to advice talk to professionals.
My advice is go to sephora and ask for those sample jars and conduct a test. Buy the book don't go to the cosmetic counter without me as well.

Wed, April 30, 2008 - 3:29 AMOil of Olay's good, their eye creams have been phenomenal for me.I really resisted using them as, when I was growing up, Oil of O was for little old ladies... but I've been very very happy with my results and my skin is too. :)
Also, most people don't like to hear "stay out of the sun" because it is fun to bask, and it is difficult to avoid getting sunshine on you - but sunscreen, hats, and staying out of the sun are key for great skin that lasts. -

Thu, May 1, 2008 - 9:26 AMI hear you! I've never been a tanaholic, nor understood the continual prevalence of tanning beds when we know how awful they are (in gyms even, where you go to be healthy!)
Its fortunate that so many every day face creams and makeup have sun protection in them now.
Gotta add too: not smoking and having lots of antioxidants in the diet.
