Apple cider vinegar and hair dye

Hello beautiful divas...

So i have been exploring the world of ACV on my hair and i cannot remember the last time my curls looked so pretty and my hair looked so shiny.

I wondering though, does anyone know if using ACV can pobssibly affect hair dye? Like lighten the color or possibly strip the color away? Just thought i would ask...

I have some wisdom hairs growing in, you know the nicer way of saying "gray". I wanted to give them a touch up but thought i would ask if anyone knows about any possible adverse side affects.

thanks lovely divas...

If vinegar affects hair dye the same way it affects clothing dye then it actually helps it cure and stay longer.
I have long used vinegar with my new purple or red clothes to keep the color vibrant..

How have you been using the ACV in your hair?
    after shampooing ?

    thanks for the tip.

I used to use apple cider vinegar as a rinse, after conditioner. Pour a little vinegar on your hair at the end of your shower, then rinse the vinegar out with lukewarm to cool water. My mother taught me this when I was a girl and she uses apple cider vinegar on her hair still. I remember my hair being very soft when I washed it this way.

Usually what i do is wash my hair with shampoo, rinse, and then i pour ACV right on my scalp and massage it around, rinse, and thats it.

the rinse part is really important... unless you like to smell like ACV that is. My son could barely deal with the smell at first, now he is use to me smelling lol... what i am saying is that it is a strong smell... but hey it works , actually it does so many things so i can handle its smelly side effects ;o)

O one other thing, the first time i poured it on my head it was really cold and shocking because i had removed t from the fridge prior... i learned to just leave it out now, i have a seperate bottle for internal usage and one for the shower now.
