I've tried a couple and was wondering what works best for you? I'm using Dr. Brandts Pores No More and love it, but hate the smell.

Tue, October 17, 2006 - 8:14 PMI just use an eye primer.... I dunno if you mean a "full face primer" (does such a thing exist? WHY? For what purpose?).... I like MAC's prime + prep, but it's expensive, and many of the MACheads I know use Urban Decay's primer.... I personally end up buying the stuff from Target.... there's a woman (Sophia Kashuk? something like that) who has a line of stuff (brushes, etc) thru Target stores, and her primer is just as good as MAC's. Stays on really well, keeps the colors good all day. -

It's all about prep work.
They prime your face for foundation. And your foundation goes on smoother and lasts longer.
If you apply it alone your face has a smoother texture to it and it gave my skin a more fresh appearance
I have sampled Smashbox's, butI have only used Elizabeth Ardens Good Morning Serum. Expensive it is 40 dollars (canadian) for a small amount (and that's the large bottle). But I thought it was AMAZING.
I recommend one and i think i want to buy one TODAY because i ran out a year ago and have cringed at spending the money (i was rationing the free sample bottle for months.
DAMN YOU EXPENSIVE WONDERFUL MAKE UP! -

Wed, October 18, 2006 - 6:18 AMLaura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation Primer under my every day make-up. For the stage or more formal occasions, I use Smashbox Photo Finish. I've also used MAC's Mattifier, but didn't love it.

I don't really like the smell of Dr. Feelgood, but I like the finish with mineral makeup for stage. I also don't like using Dr. FG on a regular basis because it is comedogenic.

Its an anti-chafing gel, like for bike riding, its not 'typical' monistat stuff.... -

i rebottle mine into a little tiny bottle so that people dont freak out that im rubbing anti-chafing gel on their face... lol -

Fri, May 9, 2008 - 7:51 AMThe Smashbox primer is pink in the bottle, but it goes on colorless. It smooths your skin, fills in small lines and pores. It makes my foundation apply smoother, make-up colors stay true, and adhere better.

Today, 2:16 AMI used to use Dr Feelgood but it makes my face dry.
I now use Mac Prep and Prime on my face and Benefit Lemon Aid eye primer
