Just wanted to share a tidbit.
I've never been a real "lip gloss" kind of girl. The closest thing I've ever used are those 2-part superstay lipsticks that come with a gloss topper for shine. Those are fine. But regular lip gloss? Nope. It seems to vanish about 10 minutes after it's applied.
Until this one.
I now have 3 different colors of L'Oreal's Infallible 6-hour lip gloss. I bought 1, just to try. I liked it so much I bought 2 more in different colors. I tend to like those with a shimmer so I have "fiery" (red with gold shimmer), "raisin" (a shimmery plum) and "modern mauve" (a shimmery pink). ALL of these 3 shades are sheer enough to wear during the day in an office and also have enough shimmer to look nice at night. And I don't know how it works, but this stuff really does CLING to your lips.
I'm now a gloss convert! Well, for this one anyway.

I look much better with lipstick of some kind, but it's impossible to keep on. If I wear something dense like a typical lipstick it drieds me out and then I get the flakey or wrinkly thing. or the nothing in the middle, but an outline around thing. and if I wear glosses or gloss lilpsticks I avoid the outline and flakey issue, but it wears right off in less than an hour. -

Sat, March 15, 2008 - 4:15 PMSince I don't wear glosses to begin with I don't really have a basis for comparison. What I find noteworthy about this one particular one is the fact that it DOES cling to the lips and stay put. It doesn't feel dry and cakey, the way some of the long-wearing lipsticks can feel. Even when I eat something and blot my lips with a napkin, I can feel like "oh, the gloss is still there." It's just something that you have to try to understand. I really like them. I may expierment with other, bolder colors. They have what appears to be a really strong red shade, and a sangria shade (sorta like the raisin I mentioned, but more pink in it). I just really like this stuff. I think it's worth a shot. -

i had a walgreens coupon and there was a buy 1 get 1 free promotion, so i wound up with three shades - fiery, raisin, and sangria (a light-ish pink berry). -

First of all, the gloss colors I have (and I'm up to or 5 of them at this point) are all fairly sheer so even if there is some feathering, I don't see it. Plus, I tend to apply the gloss a wee bit outside of my natural lip line, at least on my upper lip, anyway so I don't think I would have that problem. This stuff stays pretty well put. Other glosses I've tried in the past just tend to vanish (which is why I wouldn't ever wear them). This stuff doesn't. -
